As alumni, we feel a special connection with Rutgers and its students, which makes the Speed Networking Night such a successful event. The center of this event is dedicated to providing current students with support and networks to help them with their transition into becoming our future alumni. Two Speed Networking Night events were held in the 2007-08 school year and both were open to Rutgers students from all campuses.  Nearly 150 alumni and students participated in both event, which were held at the Busch Student Center.

At both events, alumni arrived early, giving them the opportunity to mingle and get to know each other over a light dinner. Shortly after, the students arrived and met with a series of alumni in three-minute intervals, which stressed the importance of a networking and showed that every alumni is an important resource. There were alumni from all job fields including business, finance, marketing, human resources, nonprofit, government, education, entertainment and legal.
 
The LAA received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from alumni and students that participated in this event. We are excited to plan this year's event, which will again be cosponsored with the Rutgers Alumni Association's Undergraduate Committee and Rutgers Career Services, and will take place on December 3, 2008 at the Busch Student Center.
